MEET ANN NEELY

The Woman Who Believes Your Celebration Should Be as Seamless as It Is Stunning

Ann turned “This is impossible” into her specialty—creating flawless events in Toledo and beyond for over a decade.

Let me guess: You're here because you want something extraordinary, but you're drowning in details.

Maybe you're engaged and realized planning a wedding is nothing like they show on TV. Or you're a corporate exec who knows your company's reputation rides on this event going perfectly. Or you're celebrating a milestone that deserves more than "good enough."

Whatever brought you here, I know this: You care deeply about getting it right. You have a vision. And you're overwhelmed by everything standing between that vision and reality.

I've been there. Not just professionally (though I've planned over a thousand events), but personally. I know what it's like to care so much about something being perfect that the stress nearly steals the joy. I know what it's like to second-guess every decision, wonder if you're missing something crucial, and lie awake at night mentally going through every detail.

That's exactly why I do what I do. Because no one should have to choose between a beautiful celebration and their sanity.

Hi, I’m Ann

I didn't stumble into event planning, I was built for it.

With over a decade of experience producing weddings, high-stakes corporate events, University commencement ceremonies, VIP donor receptions/dinners, and milestone celebrations across Toledo and the country, I've seen it all.

The venue mishaps. The miscommunications. The weather that refuses to cooperate. Tented events washed out a half-hour before guest arrival. Guests showing up who did not RSVP (even though they swear that they did). The last-minute changes that would make anyone else panic.

Here’s what those 10 plus years taught me:

Great events aren't about luck. They're about preparation, relationships, and knowing exactly what to do and who to go to when things don't go according to plan (because they never fully do).

I've managed:

  • 1300+ weddings and events ranging from intimate 20-person dinners to 12,000-guest BGSU Spring Commencement weekends

  • Corporate receptions for companies where every detail reflected brand values and an authentic experience where their clients were appreciated

  • Milestone celebrations that became the memories families remember for life’s biggest moments

  • Vendor teams of 20+ coordinated to execute flawlessly on tight timelines

But numbers only tell part of the story. What really matters? Every single one of those clients was able to be fully present on event day. No stress. No clipboard. No wondering how things were going behind the scenes.

That's the real measure of success.

“Ann was always ready to answer any questions, concerns, or even just minor freak outs I was having about the wedding! When I say my wedding was literally perfect, I’m not exaggerating. ANE helped me and my husband have the best day of our lives.”

Let’s be honest:

I'm a Type-A and a bit of a control freak when it comes to events. But in the best possible way.

I'm the person who color-codes her calendar, keeps backup plans for the backup plans, finds joy in stuffing name tags, and genuinely gets excited about creating the perfect timeline down to the minute. Some people meditate. I make spreadsheets and seating charts.

But here's the thing: I'm obsessive about the details so you don't have to be. And I promise that I will care about your event as much (if not more than) you will!

Outside of work, you’ll find me:

  • Enjoying my daily vanilla sweet cream cold brew from Starbies

  • Perfecting my Grandma Sylvia’s famous Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe

  • Reading a good book or watching reality tv on Bravo

  • Trying out new recipes (as I try to cook at home instead of DoorDash)

  • Cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide + BGSU Falcons football teams on Saturdays during the fall

  • Listening to Taylor Swift + Fleetwood Mac on repeat

  • Justifying a full J.Crew cart because it's on sale (and then closing the tab like an adult)

  • Deep in a travel rabbit hole at 11pm, convinced we're going to Italy this year

  • Spending quality time with my husband, (who ANE would not exist without) and our family and friends, who constantly remind me what celebrations are really about: the people

I believe in:

  • Honest communication (I'll tell you when your Pinterest idea won't work in real life and offer three better alternatives)

  • Laughter during the planning process (this should be fun, not torture)

  • Champagne at appropriate moments (and sometimes inappropriate ones)

  • Zero-judgment planning (whether your vision is wildly unconventional or beautifully classic, we're here for it)

  • A trusted network of vendors who treat your event like it's the only one on their calendar

  • Sweating the small stuff (because the details your guests can't name are the ones they'll never forget)

  • A timeline with enough breathing room to feel relaxed and enough structure to stay on track

  • The magic of a well-executed plan (there's nothing more beautiful than watching everything unfold exactly as it should)

  • The power of elevated hospitality and providing the best possible experience for you and your guests

  • Being your event’s biggest fan before we have even met

My Philosophy:

Perfection in Execution, Not Perfection in Pressure

I didn't start Ann Neely Events to create cookie-cutter celebrations or to be just another vendor on your list. I started it because I believe every celebration deserves to be a true reflection of the people behind it, and every host deserves to actually enjoy the moment they've invested so much in creating.

Here’s How I Work

Intentionality Over Trends

I'll never push you toward something because it's "in" right now. Your event should feel timeless and authentic to you, whether that means classic elegance, modern minimalism, or something completely unexpected.

Calm in the Chaos

When something goes wrong (and eventually, something always does), I handle it. Quietly, efficiently, and without involving you.

Hospitality Is the Whole Point

Every interaction, deliverable, and detail is crafted with the warmth and care of a five-star experience, because great work should feel as good as it looks. If the answer is yes, then we did our job.

Transparency Always

You'll never wonder where your budget is going or why I'm recommending a particular vendor. I believe in clear communication, honest pricing, and zero surprises (except the good kind).

Your Joy Is the Goal

At the end of the day, I measure success by one thing: Were you present? Did you enjoy it? Did it feel like you? If the answer is yes, then we did our job.

Relationships Matter

I've spent over a decade building relationships with Toledo's best venues and vendors. Those relationships mean I can get you access others can't, solve problems faster, and ensure everyone on your team is truly your team.

Having known Ann for years, I cannot think of many other people that I would trust more with the most important events. If you are looking for dedicated event planning and execution, you can stop scrolling.
